How to Watch the Champions League on IPTV in the UK
Quick Answer
Every Champions League match is on TNT Sports in the UK, with one free game per week on Amazon Prime Video. Here is how to watch them all on IPTV.

Where is the Champions League shown in the UK?
From the 2024/25 season, UK rights to the UEFA Champions League are held by TNT Sports, which shows every match live, with Amazon Prime Video showing one first-pick match on most Tuesday nights. The Europa League and Conference League are also on TNT Sports. A UK IPTV subscription that carries TNT Sports, and the international broadcasters of the competition, lets you watch every match live on a Firestick, Smart TV, phone or PC. This guide covers the broadcast arrangements, the new format, kick-off times and how to set up for big European nights.
UK broadcasters for European football
| Competition | UK broadcaster | On British IPTV |
|---|---|---|
| Champions League | TNT Sports (all matches), Amazon Prime Video (one Tuesday match) | Yes, every match |
| Europa League | TNT Sports | Yes |
| Conference League | TNT Sports | Yes |
| Champions League final | TNT Sports, often also free on YouTube or TNT's free channels | Yes |
Broadcast arrangements can change between seasons, so check the listings each August. Our IPTV UK sports page lists all the sports channels included.
The Champions League format explained
Since 2024/25 the competition uses a league phase instead of groups. Thirty-six clubs each play eight matches against eight different opponents, four at home and four away. All 36 sit in a single table:
- 1st to 8th go straight into the round of 16.
- 9th to 24th play a two-legged knockout play-off for the remaining places.
- 25th to 36th are eliminated, with no drop into the Europa League.
The format means more matches between big clubs earlier in the season, and a final matchday in January where all 18 games kick off at the same time. That night is a good test of any IPTV service.
Kick-off times in the UK
Most Champions League matches kick off at 8pm UK time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with two earlier games at 5:45pm on many league-phase nights. Europa League and Conference League matches are usually on Thursdays at 5:45pm and 8pm. The programme guide in your player shows each match with its UK start time.
How to find matches in your IPTV player
- Open your player, such as TiviMate, IPTV Smarters Pro or the British IPTV app.
- Go to the UK Sports category and select TNT Sports 1 to 4, or Amazon Prime's event channel for the Tuesday pick.
- For matches not shown on a main channel, open the Events or Football category, where each fixture has its own channel.
- Use the guide's search to type a team name and jump straight to its match.
Watching several games at once
With up to nine matches at the same time on some nights, many fans like to follow more than one. TiviMate Premium's multi-view can show up to four channels at once on capable devices such as the Nvidia Shield or Firestick 4K Max. Each stream uses one connection, so check how many your plan includes; British IPTV offers one to three on the pricing page. A goals or highlights show on a second channel is a lighter alternative.
Setting up for a big European night
- Use a wired connection or 5 GHz Wi-Fi. A Firestick Ethernet adapter is a worthwhile purchase.
- Restart your device before the 5:45pm kick-offs to clear its memory.
- Keep the backup feed in mind: event channels usually list a second feed beside them.
- Choose HD if your speed is below about 25 Mbps.

Champions League in 4K
TNT Sports produces selected matches in Ultra HD. To watch in 4K you need a 4K device that decodes HEVC, such as the Firestick 4K Max, and a stable connection of about 25 Mbps. Our Firestick 4K setup guide covers the settings.
Other football on the same subscription
The same plan includes every Premier League match, including Saturday 3PM kick-offs, along with the EFL, Scottish football, the FA Cup and the major European leagues. See our Premier League IPTV page and our guide to 3PM kick-offs.
